Recipe: Veg Manchurian Gravy
Summary: Veg Manchurian is a popular Indo-Chinese dish prepared from mixed vegetables such as Carrots, Cauliflower, bell pepper, cabbage etc.
Ingredients
Mixed Vegetables (Green bell pepper, cauliflower, carrots, cabbage)….1 cup each (finely chopped)
All purpose flour (Maida) … 2 cups
Corn flour…. 1 cup
Green Onions (finely chopped) …. 2 cups
Chili Garlic Paste…. 1 tbspn
Soy Sauce….. 1 tbspn
Garlic and ginger ( finely chopped) …. 2 tbspn
Black pepper powder…. 1 tspn
Salt.. to taste
Water
Oil
Instructions
Mix half of the vegetables along with all purpose flour, 1/2 cup corn flour and a little salt, and form a smooth dough (add water only if required).
Make small balls out of the dough.
Heat oil in a pan for deep frying.
Add the balls and fry till the balls are cooked.
Now take another pan.
Heat 1 tbspn of oil (you can also use olive oil) in a pan.
Now add the chopped green onions, ginger and garlic and black pepper powder and fry for 2 mins.
Now add all the remaining vegetables and fry for 3 mins.
Add chili garlic sauce and soy sauce.
Now take 2 cups water and add 1/2 cup corn flour to it. Mix well to dissolve the corn flour.
Add this water to the vegetables.
Add salt and let it simmer.
Now add the fried veggie balls and cook for 2 mins.
Garnish with chopped green onions.
Serve with fried rice or chapatis.
